Women in Science exists to provide opportunities for students to promote, inspire and support women working in the field of science. Any gender may join, gender equality is everybody's issue!
What We Do
The Women in Science society provides opportunities for students to promote women working in the field of science. We aim to do this by empowering, inspiring and supporting female scientists via networking, guest speakers and outreach programmes. We strive to challenge the lack of female scientists in industry and support women that face challenges in male-dominated industries. As a society run by students, we aim to encourage students to feel confident pursuing careers in a scientific field. Anyone can join the society, gender equality is everybody’s issue! We aim for this society to be useful, fun and enjoyable experience where students with similar interests can meet.
