SU Officers

Full-time SU Officers are leaders of the Students’ Union. They are trustees and directors of the Union, overseeing the daily running of the Union, to ensure it’s working in the interests of students like you. They make real decisions that can change the whole direction of the organisation and are there to support you to make your time at Bath the best it can be.

Executive Committee

Exec Committees consist of the lead representatives for a specific area or group of students. While each function is different depending on their area, they all identify key issues and represent the thoughts and opinions of their area through campaigns, meetings, and other activities.

Academic Reps

Academic Reps are students who have been elected by their peers to represent their cohort's academic views and concerns. Their core function is to represent their peers' voices by listening to their views and concerns to create positive changes with staff who can take action on the feedback. Essentially, Academic Reps are the bridge between The Students' Union and the University to ensure your educational experience is the best it can be.

Hall Committees

Hall Committees consist of students who live in University accommodation and wish to become Hall Rep. They attend Hall Forums, work together with their committee to plan and run fun events, and represent their hall-mates on important issues.

NUS Delegate

NUS Conference delegates represent the Students’ Union at the annual NUS conferences. Delegates can vote on the SU's behalf, take part in discussions around their current work and their elected officers, and set the direction of the NUS.

Senate Rep

Senate Representatives are elected by students to represent students on this committee. Senate Representatives are also members of the student Academic Executive Committee and liaise with the Faculty Representatives and the Students’ Union Officers on academic issues as appropriate.
