How to stand in sport committee election
Co-opting members into position
If an elected member decides to drop their role you can co-opt another member to take the role on.
To do this you need to:
- Get the member to email subathsport@bath.ac.uk to state that they would no longer like to be in their committee position.
- The committee then promotes the role to the whole club and set a deadline for manifestos for those who wish to nominate themselves. Allow time for members to ask questions about the role.
- Candidates will need to submit their manifestos to the current committee
- The committee will then read through all manifestos and vote for the new position.
- The committee will need to inform subathsport@bath.ac.uk of the new person’s details (full name, uni email and phone number) and be shown proof that they won a clear majority in a poll.
