Zuber

Postgraduate Officer

Hello Everyone!
I am Zuber, your Postgraduate Officer this year.

I am an international student at Bath University. I was born and raised in India, where I also completed the majority of my education and worked as a software developer for a few years. And now I am here, pursuing a Master’s in Management with Marketing degree. I am a sports maniac (highly competitive but harmless; maybe, maybe not), mainly cricket, but also a bit involved in tennis, badminton, and football too.

As a Postgraduate Officer, I am very keen on making sure students feel like a community here at Bath. I have lived the experience and know how difficult it is for Postgrads and even Doctoral students to get involved in different events/activities because of the fast-paced and intensive nature of their courses.

Skills Enrichment and Employability support are what every Postgraduate student needs and are probably their main priorities, especially for International students. I want to make sure every student gets the most out of it and has the right direction to go forward.

But that’s not all, I will make sure there are more inclusive events like Doctoral lunches, Postgraduate specific events, ensuring that new students feel welcomed and supported. Still there’s a lot more on my list - doctoral student experience, PGT education, cost of living, and mental health initiatives.

I am really excited for the upcoming term to work, but more interested to have a chat with students about their experience and anything they would like to address. Feel free to get in touch or make a visit at the SU officer or anywhere on the campus.

My vision?

More smiles and less worry.

More friendships and less loneliness.

ONE COMMUNITY.
