5 volunteers put on a virtual Christmas party for 40 children to bring some festive spirit into schools in Bath
On Wednesday 16 December, 5 members of V Team hosted a virtual Christmas Party for Twerton Infant School in Bath, led by Mason Excel.
This all took place on Microsoft Teams which they streamed directly into classrooms for the students to enjoy. Activities involved Arts and Crafts, Pass the Parcel, A sing-along, a visit from Santa, and not to mention all of the festive goodies!
Streaming this into the classroom was a bit different to previous years, but we were so happy to still be given the chance to connect with the community and provide some much-needed fun for some of the students.
Maple Class (year 2) sent some really lovely messages of thanks to our volunteers:
“Thank you for spending all that money on us.
Thank you for my rainbow lab. I can’t wait to open it and do it at home.
Thank you for all of the presents.
Thank you for everything.
I really liked the pass parcel and we were so lucky to all get toys.
I liked making the decorations. I’m going to hang mine on my Christmas tree.
I love my stretchy Santa. Thank you for giving it to me.
Thank you for being so fun with us.”
Hearing stories of our students putting a smile of the faces of people around Bath is always so heart-warming. We couldn’t be prouder of our volunteers for putting on such a wonderful experience!
