Amber, our Education Officer took a group of reps to join the VC for Breakfast to recognise their work.
On Thursday 5 December we held our latest VC Breakfast where we celebrated the work of some of our Undergraduate Reps.
In attendance was a mix of undergraduate faculty reps, our senate rep, and academic reps who are all doing simply stellar things.
Between them, the group has founded societies, made spectacular knowledge banks for their faculties, been stars at the Education Awards, done the coolest placements you have ever seen, and been all over the SU across peer mentoring, freshers week captains and peer assisted learning roles to name just a few. Not only this, but they are engrossed in campaigns around a whole host of issues – including reading time in exams, curriculum transformation, women in STEM, and building back bursaries.
It was great to see these students being recognised for their dedication and to give the Vice Chancellor an opportunity to speak to them directly.
