Genesis is an impactful local charity which helps homeless and vulnerable people in the Bath area. Between 28 February and 14 March they worked with V Collection to run a drive for a range of items that students may have hanging around the house.
Some priority items were are: men’s clothing, small and large rucksacks, and coats for men or women. They were also looking for a range of clothes as well as camping equipment, kitchen ware and toiletries.

Students could also help by going the extra mile and putting together a Lifeline Care Package. These are so important for the homeless community and can make a huge difference to their wellbeing. Some ideas for items for a Lifeline Care Package would be gloves, hats, thick socks, torches, thermos flasks, cereal bars, wet wipes and dog food or treats-

Genesis Charity were so pleased with everything that was donated and said, 'We'd like to thank everyone for their support. We collected many items, including lots of clothing and wre able to put together some lifeline care packages containing essential items such as food and toiletries. Hopefully, together we've made a difference and let someone facing difficult circumstances know we care'.
