University of Bath Varsity Champions 2024!

Bath beat Cardiff Met for the 7th year in a row at the Annual Sporting clash!

We were triumphant for the seventh year in a row at the annual Varsity against Cardiff Met held on Wednesday 17 April at The University of Bath Sports Training Village. Bath stormed to victory with an impressive 75 – 35 points win. We only lost five games throughout the whole day, one of them was the Mascot Race, but we picked up plenty of losing points for getting over 50% of the winning score!

Over 4,000 students from Bath and Cardiff Met took over the Sports Training Village and Founders Hall for a huge sporting clash. With an impressive lineup of 42 teams competing across 13 sports, the day was filled with incredible passion and talent with an unbelievable atmosphere from start to finish. The weather was kind to us with only a small amount of drizzle throughout the day, it was great to see so much blue and gold supporting every sport across our Varsity village.

As well as the athletic action we had performances from our amazing student groups Dance Soc, Bath Jets and Music Soc. New for this year, students enjoyed our Fan Zone, with an array of food, drinks, and entertainment. The continuous buzz from both Cardiff Met and Bath supporters kept the energy alive throughout the day.

You can watch back live footage from the event on the Varsity Website. You can also view the full results from each game on our results page.

A huge thank you to Student Media and Backstage who helped make the day such as success. We also want to thank all the SU Staff and Team Bath staff involved in putting this event together, roll on next year!
