TEDxBathUniversity held its Tenth Anniversary Annual Conference at the Edge Theatre on Sunday 18 February, and the talks have now been uploaded to TEDx’s YouTube channel with 40 million subscribers!

TEDx events are always a hugely inspirational experience, filled with interesting and uplifting talks from a wide variety of speakers. TEDxBath University organised eight diverse speakers to attend the conference, including four Bath students! Jasmine Mulani will speak about traditional Vastu architecture, Shaurya Singh on the fragility of ambition, Sedona Jamieson on her journey with mental health and Finley Redford who built a Guinness World Record drone!

Joining them were four external speakers – Dale Whelehan, CEO of the 4 Day Week; Danilo McGarry, who is one of the top 20 most influential speakers on AI; Ed Elias who has started several businesses and Heather Stanning, an Olympic Gold medallist at London 2012 and Rio 2016.

Alongside the speakers, there were performances from talented Bath student and poet Elena Chamberlain and student groups Latin & Ballroom, Burban Dance and Music Soc, as well as exhibition stands from Team Bath Roving, Team Bath Heart, Engineers Without Borders and the Philosophy Society. The conference itself was opened by the Mayor of Bath, Councillor Dine Romero.

Daniel Aschenbrenner, who has been the lead organiser or TEDx Bath University 2024 commented, “I started watching TEDx talks two years ago when I was preparing for University Interviews. TEDx talks are so special because they mean different things to different people, for different reasons.”

The TEDx talks are now on TEDx’s YouTube channel. Follow the links to watch each of the brilliant talks and check out TEDxBathUniversity’s group page to find out more.

Two talks are still being reviewed and will be published soon.
