Sign up for 24 hour Hackathon!

The Bath Computer Science Society (BCSS) is running a 24 hour Hackathon!

Bath Hack 2023 is a 24 hour event taking place on April 1 -2 on campus and is open to any University of Bath student (not just Computer Science!). Teams of up to 4 people are given 24 hours to create any system they want- teams can then submit their creations to a number of sponsored tracks to be judged for a chance of winning an exclusive prize! Entrants will also be given event merchandise. It’s not a problem if you are experienced in hackathons or a total beginner- the event organisers will be around throughout the event to offer support and suggestions as needed.

If you also want to get involved but aren’t able to sign as a full team, then the BCSS will be running a team creation event before the hackathon so you can find teammates and make introductions before you start coding. During this, you can also request to be placed with more technically minded people. All you need to get involved and be successful is a great, well thought-out, well-pitched idea!

Not only is the Hackathon a fun and educational opportunity to show off your skills, but with support from industry partners there will be an opportunity for all participants to network and broaden professional contacts. The company connections also have further networks to fund tracks, provide goodies, judge categories and give prizes.

Sign ups officially close 25 March- over 110 students have already signed up, so make sure you are one of them!

Good luck to all the hackers- we will update you with the results!
