University of Bath Men's 1st XV and Hartpury battled it out ending in a draw in front of a packed crowd at the Rec!
On Wednesday 16 October over 7,000 spectators from the University and local communities packed out the Rec for the Anniversary Game, sponsored by Colour Studios. The University of Bath Men's 1st XV took on BUCS Super Rugby rivals Hartpury at the iconic stadium and provided a thrilling journey for all the spectators. We were once again hit by bad weather, with the rain not stopping for the entire game, however, this didn't stop the crowd from turning out in their masses and showing that blue and gold support that we love.
It was a bit of a nervous start with Bath trailing behind 21-0 but after an epic comeback ended the game with a 31-31 draw! View the full match report.
At half-time, Olivia, our SU Sport Officer, entertained the crowd with Duck Norris, shooting balls into the crowd to win a range of prizes, from stash to vouchers! As always, our wonderful Bath Jets were there to cheer the boys on and keep the spirits high!
