Wednesday Climbing

This week no one showed up, so there will likely not be any more club-led activities after this week so people can prepare for exams.

Font 2025

Easter is late next year (2025), essentially is directly before exams so the date of Font potentially needs to be moved
Action for BB and AM to discuss with the next climbing secs now to see what they would like to do about this

Font 2024

Trip went well, although weather was not ideal!
Sofa bed option should be offered as a slightly cheaper option for Font next year, as this year rotating on these sofa beds was annoying as there was lots of room swapping.

Learn to Trad

Learn to Trad was held last week in South Wales and went very well!
This was held as more of a meet-up and Splitwise was used to split the cost

Budget

Joe presented the google sheet on the BUMC Cash flow for the year
Everything seems to be on track so far but the MPV payment will come out in one big invoice at the end
On Font there was some damage on the MPV
- In the club paperwork the club is liable for at least half of this
- The club will likely pay all of this as Font was cheaper than expected, but this will need to be confirmed
- The chair was in the vehicle and confirmed that this accident could not have been avoided. If this happens in the future, this should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
As there was extra Trip budget left over this year so there may be scope for an orienteering trip next year
BUCS subsidy – the SU has suggested that they are raising this. The club should request more budget for BUCS next year.
Joe has suggested that there may be up to a £800 subsidy for summer trip.

Incidents

All leaders on trips should make a detailed log of trips after they happen (even if there are no incidents) for future reference.

Dartmoor

This is going ahead this weekend and weather looks good!

Summer Trip

We may need to more tents but we first need to ask people if they are willing to bring their own tents
Amy will hold a pre-trip meeting

Summer Social

Plan is BBQ in Victoria Park
Jack is still deciding whether to do this unofficially or not

T-shirt comp

Emma’s Design won!
We discussed which two colours we will choose to put the design on. (White and beige?)
Tom is still deciding what stickers to use in the pack – some of the designs will need to be simplified
