Details

This peer-to-peer role is an exciting opportunity to help support new resident students from minority groups find their community here at the University of Bath. As part of the ResLife Team you will assist in delivering our year-round events programme and generate specific event ideas that relate to inclusion. We provide students with a range of events, from trips exploring the local area to workshops trying new skills, all with the focus to help them make connections and enjoy life in halls.

If you are an enthusiastic, motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys working creatively and is passionate about work that centres and supports minority groups, this is an ideal role for you. We are looking for students with excellent customer service skills, who are confident interacting with lots of people on a regular basis.

We encourage Ambassadors to bring their interests and passions to the role. Whether it be contributing your own event ideas to the programme, taking part in our support work or assisting with our marketing and comms, you have the chance to make this role your own.

About You

We are looking for returning students, either undergraduates in their second year onwards, or postgraduate students who have experience living in Bath and ideally within our university halls. Our Inclusion Champion roles are open to students who are LGBTQ+, neurodivergent or from a minority ethnic background.

Pay

CW2 (£12 per hour)

Hours Of Work

Official duties begin mid-September 2025 and continue until end of August June 2026, however compulsory training will commence towards the end of August 2025. We will continue to run events throughout July and August 2026 for our resident postgraduate and pre-sessional students and require ambassadors who are able to remain in Bath and assist with this offering. An estimated 6 hours of work per week is expected over the course of the academic year.
