This peer-to-peer role is an exciting opportunity to help new resident students find their community here at the University of Bath. As part of the ResLife Team you will assist in delivering our year-round events programme. We provide students with a range of events, from trips exploring the local area to workshops trying new skills, all with the focus to help them make connections and enjoy life in halls.

As a Senior ResLife Ambassador, you will help lead and be a point of contact for the wider RLA team. Your responsibilities will include holding regular meetings with ambassadors to discuss event ideas and liaising with ResLife Support Co-ordinators to feedback suggestions and concerns.

As a Senior ResLife Ambassador you will have a team of ResLife Ambassadors you will meet with monthly to discuss event ideas or flag any concerns and then it is your responsibility to pass this information on to the ResLife Co-ordinators.

If you are an enthusiastic, motivated, and outgoing individual who is looking to develop their leadership skills, this is an ideal role for you. We are looking for students with excellent customer service skills, who are confident interacting with lots of people on a regular basis and are comfortable being in a forward-facing role.

We encourage Ambassadors to bring their interests and passions to the role. Whether it be contributing your own event ideas to the programme, taking part in our support work or assisting with our marketing and comms, you have the chance to make this role your own.

About You

For our Senior positions, we are looking for students who have experience working as a ResLife Ambassador previously.

Pay

CW3 (£12 per hour)

Hours Of Work

Official duties begin mid-September 2025 until June 2026, however compulsory training will commence towards the end of August 2025. An estimated 6 hours of work per week is expected over the course of the academic year. Welcome and Arrivals period (September and October) is a key time for our programme, and therefore it is essential that we have your availability during this time. Before official duties start there is an opportunity to assist with the ResLife summer programme 2025, which focuses on helping pre-sessional students settle in before they start Semester 1.
