We’re looking for a kind, patient, and open-minded PA/support worker for a creative and active young person in Peasedown, Bath. The ideal candidate will be neurodiversity-affirming, identity-inclusive, confident and fun. This role also includes morning support for the parent who has long term health conditions, helping to ensure a smooth start to the day.
Hours & Responsibilities
(Total: 9.5 hours per week)
Tuesdays (2 hours)
- 08:20–09:20 – Morning support for parent, including light household tasks (e.g., emptying the dishwasher, sorting laundry, making children’s packed lunches/breakfast if needed) and helping the morning routine run smoothly.
- 09:20–10:20 – Drive young person to Forest School.
Wednesdays (4.5 hours)
- 10:00–11:00 – Morning support for parent (as above).
- 11:00–14:30 – Pick up two children, stay on-site during equine therapy, drive to a second session and engage one child in activities while the other attends.
Thursdays (2 hours)
- 13:30–15:30 – Hang out with young person and/or go into the community.
Pay & Benefits
- £14 per hour (or to be negotiated depending on experience)
- Fuel costs covered
Requirements
- Must have a full, clean driving license and own a reliable car (mileage covered).
- Supportive of self-expression and unique interests.
- Comfortable working with neurodivergent individuals.
- Encouraging, patient, and non-judgmental.
- Reliable, consistent, and able to build trust.
- Experience in SEND, youth work, or a similar role is a plus but not essential.
