Are you energetic, fun loving and understanding? Our charismatic 9-year-old boy is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join his weekend adventures! He loves chatting, role play, trampolining, music, swinging and trips on the train or bus. He has a genetic condition presenting similarly to Global developmental delay, as well as autism. He can sometimes struggle with change and uncertainty as a result, but is a great character and lots of fun.

Responsibilities

• Plan and engage in fun activities with him, either in the family home or on short trips locally
• Support him with his uncertainty around routines and change, using the PANDA approach to Pathologcal Demand Avoidance
• Help with basic care needs such as using the toilet and meal times
• Ensure his safety and well-being

Requirements

• Friendly and caring person
• Previous experience working with children with Special Needs an advantage
• A knowledge of the PANDA approach to PDA
• Positive attitude and creative mindset
