Hours

The positions are on a casual basis and hours will therefore be flexible as and when required by the business. Minimum of two shifts per week (approximately 8 hours) which must include Wednesday day times (between 09:00-18:00).

Details

The Hospitality Team at University of Bath are seeking casual food & beverage assistants to help in their mobile food service. There is variety in this role, both inside and outside, as this role involves walking with a trolley to different locations on campus.

Ideally you will have customer service experience and must be available a minimum of five hours on Wednesdays (between 09:00-18:00) to be considered.

Further information is available on the application form; however, duties would include:

  • Assisting with trolley preparation.
  • Delivering food, and drinks (as well as collection) at different locations on campus.
  • Completing due-diligence and following the food safety standards set in the FSMS.
  • Helping to deliver on functions and events.
  • Helping to keep the service areas clean and presentable.
  • Supporting with the washing up, when required.
  • All other associated tasks, as requested/ directed by the outlet manager. 

We require the following:

  • Available for a minimum of two shifts per week (approximately 8 hours) which must include Wednesday day times (between 09:00-18:00).
  • The ideal candidate should have experience of working in a customer facing role.
  • The ability to work in a safe environment and protecting others around you.
  • You should have a proactive attitude and be prepared to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.

Pay and extra information:

In return we will offer good pay rates of £12 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay this equates to £13.45 per hour).

The positions are on a casual basis and hours will therefore be flexible as and when required by the business. Before you start you will need to attend food safety training, which we run weekly on Mondays 09:30-12:00. Shifts will be available usually within 10 days of completing the training (as rotas are done 10 days in advance). Pay is monthly in arrears. Full training will be provided.
