We're The Drawing Rooms (TDR) - a unique and quirky venue in the centre of Bath catering to visitors to the city as well as locals.

Established 2019 and hidden away in a three-storey Georgian Townhouse, we are known for our live piano and karaoke, great private parties and group cocktail masterclasses. Our regulars tell us that our place feels like a grown-up house party. We're an experiential venue and our guests choose to come to us instead of places like Lane 7 and the theatre rather than pure play bars in town. Check out our Tripadvisor and Google reviews for how people feel about us.

We are looking for happy and outgoing people who can work 10-16 hours a week, mostly weekend evenings and want to learn/expand on skills both behind the bar and on the floor- everyone learns how to do everything at TDR and on any given night you might be welcoming guests, making drinks or taking and running orders.  We have over the past years employed many students and have ended up with some absolute superstars, though everyone graduates at some point and moves on.

So we're very much looking for all-rounders, but don't worry if only some of the below applies to you right now as we will train up the right people- the key thing for us is attitute and passion for making sure our guests have a great time, but balanced with the attitude to maintain a safe and consistent environment.

  • We're looking for individuals who are both driven to learn and responsive to the needs of our guests.
  • This role requires a keen understanding of cocktail preparation, as well as the ability to engage with patrons on the floor, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
  • You will be (or learn to be) a skilled cocktail maker responsible for creating and serving a variety of handcrafted cocktails to guests.
  • You will have or want to develop a deep knowledge of cocktail recipes, ingredients, and techniques, and will work closely with the Head Bartender to maintain the bar's high standards of quality and creativity.
  • However the instinctive use of initiative and a service first approach in terms of making our guests happy is what makes a person right for this role.

We'd love to hear from you - please feel free to send your CV if you wish but bear in mind we're an experiential venue so please feel free to answer these;

  1. What's your favourite cocktail and why?
  2. It's Saturday night and our piano player calls out for a request and no one in the crowd replies. What do you shout out from behind the bar to get things going again?

We're looking to interview and recruit ASAP as we enter the new university year
