We are deeply shocked and saddened by the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April 2025. This brutal and targeted violence claimed the lives of at least 27 innocent people and left many others seriously injured. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to all those affected, including the families of the victims and the survivors who are still recovering.
As a society rooted in the values of ahimsa (non-violence), compassion, and unity, Bath Hindu Society strongly condemns this heinous act of terror. The targeting of individuals based on their religious identity is not only an attack on human life but an assault on the very principles of coexistence and dignity. We hope that the ones responsible for this act of terror and religion-based hate crime be brought to justice as soon as possible.
We know that news of this tragedy will deeply affect members of our community, particularly those with personal, familial, or emotional ties to the region. Please know that you are not alone. We are here for you, and we stand beside you in grief and solidarity.
Justice shall prevail.
