Hey Everyone,

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is just around the corner, and we are excited to invite everyone to join the celebrations across campus! Whether you're looking for a quiet space for prayer, vibrant cultural events, or just a taste of traditional Indian food, we've got something for everyone.

Diwali Space (30th Oct – 2nd Nov):
We've partnered with the university to create a dedicated Diwali space in the Calverton Rooms, offering a Hindu prayer area and a cozy lounge for gatherings. It’s your 'home away from home' to celebrate in comfort and connect with friends.

Lighting the Campus:
From 30th Oct to 1st Nov, campus will come alive with lights from 6 PM to 2 AM, thanks to Backstage and the university's support. The fountain and nearby areas will be beautifully illuminated, bringing the glow of Diwali to Bath.

Main Diwali Event (30th Oct, 7:00 PM – 1:00 AM):
Don’t miss the main celebration in the Claverton Rooms! We’ve lined up an evening full of tradition, music, and fun, including:

  • A traditional Hindu prayer led by a priest
  • Authentic Gujarati and North Indian food
  • Cultural performances and live music
  • Henna art
  • Sparklers by the lake
  • DJ with a mix of tunes to keep the energy high all night long

Rangoli Making (30th Oct – 1st Nov):
Get creative with our Rangoli-making sessions in the Claverton Rooms from 1 PM to 5 PM on 30th Oct, continuing through the next two days. It’s the perfect opportunity to add your artistic touch to the Diwali space and bring it to life with vibrant colors.

We can’t wait to see you there! Let’s come together to celebrate Diwali, share the joy, and honor the rich traditions that make this festival so special.

Love,

Adi
