Visit the stunning natural limestone arch on the Jurassic coast, formed over thousands of years, this famous landmark is one of the most photographed sites on the UK coastline! Enjoy the day on the beach and have plenty of time for relaxing, exploring and even fossil hunting. The coastline was declared England's fisrt natural world heritage site in 2001 and is still a very popular beauty spot so is not to be missed.

Not to mention, the you can also walk to the beautiful Lulworth cove, which is only 25 minutes on foot across the coastal path with breathtaking views. The cove has other famous landmarks such as Stair Hole and Lulworth Crumple and is situated less than a mile from West Lulworth village where you can find plenty of places to eat and get some souvenirs of the day.
The walk down to the Durdledoor beach is a steep decline with over 100 steps so make sure you wear appropriate footwear and be sure to enjoy the views.

Coach Pick-up times:
- East Car park (Campus): 8:30
- Corn Street (Bath City Centre): 8:45
Depart Durdledoor:
- 16:30 (expected return to Bath at 18:30- 18:45)

Important information:
- The times listed on the event are from when the coach will leave the campus in the morning, until an approximate arrival back to Bath. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure, for boarding, in order to ensure the coach leaves on time. Arrival times to the destination and back to Bath are subject to traffic, weather and road conditions, which are beyond our control, so we cannot guarantee exact time/s of arrival.
- The trips will go ahead regardless of weather conditions, so please do come prepared. This excludes extreme or dangerous weather, where we would, of course, cancel for your safety. In the event that we cancel the trip, you would be fully refunded.
- If you can no longer attend the trip, you may transfer your ticket to another student. Please ensure you inform us in writing to su-trips@bath.ac.uk at least 24 hours before departure time. Also, quite often we have a waiting list so we may be able to put you in contact with a student waiting for a ticket.
This trip also involves steep steps/inclines and a fairly long walk to food/beaches. Please bear this in mind when purchasing tickets.
Photography and Filming: We have photographers and film makers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials. If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Community office: su-trips@bath.ac.uk
