Visit the multicultural city of Cardiff and explore its vibrant streets known for the mixing of old culture with new. With plenty of places to eat, drink and shop, Cardiff's bustling centre has plenty to see and do. Not to mention the many filming locations found around the city, such as Cardiff Bay, the Castle, the National museum of Wales, Queen street and many more used in Dr Who, Sherlock and other series.

Don't forget to take a look at Mermaid Quay and Cardiff Bay and visit Cardiff's indoor market and Victorian arcades. The cardiff Bay Wetlands are also a must see to explore some of the wildlife that lives in the bay along the boardwalk.

Coach Pick up Times:

  • 9:00am at University East Car Park
  • 9.15am at Bath City, Corn Street

 

Schedule:

  • Arrive at Cardiff at 11.00am (approx.)
  • Leave Cardiff at 16.00pm

 

Coach drop Off Times:

  • 17.45pm at Bath city, Corn street
  • 18.00pm at University East Car Park

Important information:

  • The times listed on the event are from when the coach will leave the campus in the morning, until an approximate arrival back to Bath. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure, for boarding, in order to ensure the coach leaves on time. Arrival times to the destination and back to Bath are subject to traffic, weather and road conditions, which are beyond our control, so we cannot guarantee exact time/s of arrival.
  • The trips will go ahead regardless of weather conditions, so please do come prepared. This excludes extreme or dangerous weather, where we would, of course, cancel for your safety. In the event that we cancel the trip, you would be fully refunded.
  • If you can no longer attend the trip, you may transfer your ticket to another student. Please ensure you inform us in writing to su-trips@bath.ac.uk. Also, quite often we have a waiting list so we may be able to put you in contact with a student waiting for a ticket.

Photography and Filming: We have photographers and film makers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials. If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Community office: su-trips@bath.ac.uk
