Volunteering develops many skills that are desirable in future employment – but often we don’t recognise that we are developing them. This workshop will look at how to sell your skills and experience of volunteering to future employers (or business plans for investors).

By attending this interactive workshop you will:

  • Understand the benefits of volunteering and project leading for employability
  • Know how you can present this on a CV in an impactful and meaningful way
  • Learn how to talk about this in an interview – storytelling, collecting a ‘bank’ of examples from your experience.
  • Have reflected with others on skills you might have gained in your volunteering.
  • Know where to find useful resources to help you with articulating your volunteering experiences in applications and interviews

The workshop is open to all. It's particularly useful for students who are interested in the benefits of volunteering, or currently involved in volunteering as community volunteers, committee members, project leaders, peer mentors, sports coaches etc.
