Upcoming:
Sessions are each Friday in Chancellor's Building 3.10 with about half an hour of reading about a topic and then a discussion. We have no homework or external commitments so you can just turn up and join in! The only thing to bring is an open mind and a curiosity for how to make the world a better place.
After the introductory sessions (after the 14th of Feb) we then start building an in depth understanding so coming to previous sessions would be very useful.

About Us
The Effective Altruism (EA) Club at the University of Bath is dedicated to helping students make a meaningful impact on the world. We focus on using evidence and careful reasoning to identify the most effective ways to do good and take action based on these insights. As part of a global movement, we aim to foster a community where students can explore how to maximize their positive impact, both during their time at university and in their future careers.
Our club offers career planning resources, an introduction fellowship program, and regular social events. Through these activities, we provide opportunities for members to learn about high-impact career paths, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making the world a better place.
Our initiatives:
Introductory Discussion Group: An introduction to key concepts in Effective Altruism, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply these principles in your life and career.
Social Events: Because we're not altruistic machines! A community is vital for helping each other feel good doing good and besides quiz nights, also provides opportunities to connect and share ideas.
Screenings of Movies, Collaborations and More
We'll start give-it-a-go sessions for our intro fellowship, beginning 7th of October. We'll update here with more information and create a poll to determine times soon
