Whilst not for everyone, competing is a great way to test your technique and push yourself and we would encourage everyone to try it at least once.

Whilst there are no centrally organized University BJJ competitions or leagues (BUCS), the recent rapid growth of BJJ means that there are regular competitions all over the country that anyone can enter.

Society members have attended many of these competitions both as a group and as individuals racking up medals along the way.

Should you wish to compete, we can help you find the most suitable competition for you.

On top of this we are always in contact with other Universities societies to organize interclub competitions and open mats.

Last year we hosted Bristol University BJJ Society for a very successful 5v5 Quintet format competition.
