FAQ
What dance forms does the Indian Dance Society teach?
We teach Bollywood, Semi-Classical, Bharatanatyam, Bhangra, Kathak & BollyHop (a fusion of Bollywood and Hip-Hop).
I have no prior experience in these dance forms or even dance in general. Can I still join?
Absolutely. We take both beginner and advanced classes. Everyone is welcome to try out both classes and set their own pace! Stay up to date by following our socials! ?
What is unique about these classes?
Dance in India comprises numerous styles, generally classified as classical or folk. Different forms of dance originated in various parts of India, developing according to the local traditions and imbibing elements from other parts of the country. Bollywood dancing is inspired by Indian films, in which dances are an essential part of the entertainment aspect of cinema. It is a fast-paced and energetic dance form(much like Zumba) with many hand and leg movements and groovy songs!?
Still Not sure? Take a class (it's free!) and decide for yourself; we can guarantee you'll have a good time.
Can I teach a class?
Of course! Just drop us an email, and we will get in touch soon!
