Membership Information
After going to taster sessions or finding the group that you want to train with, the next step is to become a member of the University of Bath Athletics Club. Look below to find information about what is included in your club membership.
Club Membership - £10
In order to join any SU sports club, you will need to purchase a one-off £30 SU Sport membership. After that you can join a specific sports club for £10 each.
In order to train or compete with any of the athletics groups at the university you need to purchase the club membership. It enables the club to provide all our training sessions including track bookings, the payment of coaches and fund club activities. Click on the link on the left-hand side of this page to add it to your basket and purchase it!
BUCS
A separate fee for any athletes that compete at any of the BUCS competitions – cross country, indoors, outdoors, 10,000m championships. More information will be provided throughout the year, but if you are unsure as to whether you will be competing at BUCS then get in contact with the committee or your coach. Once it becomes available to purchase you can find it here.
If a hotel is needed the cost will need to be covered by yourself. Transport will be subsidised and you'll be able to represent the club at the various competitions!
England Athletics
The University of Bath Athletics Club is an England Athletics Affiliated Club. You can apply to be registered with the club on England Athletics, as either a first or second claim member, by emailing su-athletics@bath.ac.uk with your name and date of birth.
If you are not a member of any other UK Atheltics clubs you can apply for a first claim athlete registration. A registration fee of £19.00 will need to be paid and repaid annually every April for aslong as you are a member. You can purchase the registration fee here. If you have never been a member of any UK Athletics club and therefore do not have a URN (active or inactive) please also provide your home address in your email.
If you are a member of another UK Atheltics club you apply for a second claim athlete registration. There is no fee attached to this registration.
By registering with England Athletics you agree to your data being transferred to the Athletics Governing body and it being processed in accordance with their privacy statement.
Please Note: To compete in certain athletics events, such as open track meets, an athlete must have a valid England Athletics URN. A URN not is required for BUCS XC or BUCS track events.
